Guide

Where to find every kind of NHL stat

Every report here is a sortable table with its own address, updated after each final of 2026-27, with past seasons back to 1990-91. So far, Jack Eichel (VGK) leads the league in points with 10, and Nick Schmaltz (UTA) leads in goals with 5.

Skater stats

The points leaders, goal leaders and assist leaders are the classics. Points per game and points per 60 minutes put players with different ice time on one scale, and there are reports for power play, shots, ice time, faceoffs and defencemen.

Goalie stats

Save percentage and goals-against average are the headline numbers. Goals saved above expected goes further: it compares the goals a goalie allowed with what the shots he faced would usually produce, so a goalie behind a leaky defence gets credit for the hard saves.

Team stats

The team reports cover goals for and against, the power play, the penalty kill, even strength and shots.

Expected goals and shot data

Expected goals weigh every unblocked attempt by its chance of going in, based on where it came from and what kind of shot it was. Over a season, expected goals predict future scoring better than goals do. The shot data pages map where each team shoots from and gives up chances.

Tracking: speed and distance

The tracking reports measure what box scores cannot: top skating speed, the hardest shots, distance skated and time in each zone, for every player and team since 2021-22.

Why do some leaders need a minimum of games?

Rate stats like save percentage or points per game swing wildly over a handful of games, so leader lists set a minimum before a player qualifies. You can lower it in each report to see everyone.
