The 2026-27 NHL schedule

The 2026-27 regular season runs from 29 September 2026 to 10 April 2027: 1,344 games, 84 for each of the 32 teams, half at home and half on the road. It is the first 84-game season since 1993-94.

Key dates of the 2026-27 season

Opening day is 29 September 2026 and the regular season ends on 10 April 2027. The trade deadline is 1 March 2027. The Stanley Cup playoffs follow the last regular-season day, and the playoff bracket fills in as series are scheduled.

How to use this schedule

The week view starts today and lists every game with its start time in ET, the venue and the result once it is final. The month view adds a calendar: choose a team and each day shows its opponent, home or away. The round filter separates the regular season from the playoffs once playoff games are on the calendar. Every row opens the game’s page, which turns from an early look into the full preview three days before puck drop.

What is a back-to-back?

A back-to-back is a club playing on two days in a row. Teams often start their backup goalie on the second night, so the tag in the notes column is worth a look before you read too much into a price. Across the season, clubs play between 8 and 15 back-to-backs, 377 in all. Pittsburgh has the most. The back-to-backs tool lists every one, and travel and rest adds the miles in between.
