Guide

NHL team stats explained

All 32 teams with points, goals for and against, special teams and expected points, sortable by any column. Goal differential is the quickest read on a team’s real strength; the goals and luck report shows which teams are running ahead of theirs.

Which team stats matter most?

Even-strength play decides most games, so goals and shot share at five on five say more about a team than its power play. Special teams swing individual games and short stretches. The shot data shows where each team creates and allows chances.

Season reports refresh once a day after new finals.
